How many poodles can you count on Poppy G. in this picture? Answer: 8 poodles- but only one wife (Brenda) for about thirty years.
My sweet wife and I have a special love for teacup and toy poodles. If you've ever had a tiny poodle then you already know that they are like little babies. It is impossible not to fall in love. They make wonderful pets because they are gentle, smart and easy to train. I also like that they're typically not "nervous" dogs like some other small breeds.
Poodles don't shed, which can cause allergic reactions. They are very social and make great constant companions. You can take them with you just about everywhere you go. I take mine in a small carrier that is so inconspicuous that most people don't give it a second look, not even in restaurants. These are just a few of the reasons why poodles are my favorites (and the most popular dogs in the world.)
Unlike the puppy mills we all hate, my poodles are raised right inside our country home near Charlotte, N.C. I built a room just for them (we call it the "poodle-parlor.") They can scoot out their doggy door to a completely protected deck in the woods overlooking our lake. Talk about the life of privelege! It's important to me that the puppies I sell are well adjusted and properly "socialized," so I look after their every need. Each one receives individual attention. I keep them clean and well groomed, feed them the finest all natural food, and give them a large daily dose of love and affection. As you might imagine, looking after a kennel full of puppies is a lot of work starting about 6 A.M. seven days a week. But because I love them, it's a joy!
I also take great care in my breeding methods to assure that my waggy-tail friends live a long, healthy life with their new owners (or me if I'm keeping them.) I would never knowingly breed dogs with anything but the finest pedigrees.
I want to weed out any genetic defects - see my one year guarantee - and I don't like in-breeding. I can sum it up this way: I want to be a breeder that I would buy from. I hope this gives you confidence in dealing with me.
So, anyway, if you are planning to be in the Charlotte area give me a call at 803 222-3090 or drop me an email at Poppy@PoodlePoppy.com
You are welcome to come by and visit, see my puppies and how they are raised, and pick your favorite in person. Or, if you like, you can reserve a new born or even an unborn puppy without risk, with or without a deposit (deposits have higher priority.) You could also get on the waiting list if the puppy you want is already reserved. I'll keep them until they are about 8-10 weeks old, after they are weaned, have had their first shots, and are strong and healthy.
You might also want to check out the website of the breeder who helped me get started, Dee Ann Miller, at http://www.poodlepartipups.com/. With over 25 years experience, Dee Ann is one of the most knowledgeable and reputable breeders in the country, and I have great respect for her.
